Wood Chip Storage
A key aspect when realising a wood-chip boiler is the planning of the storage room. We offer the perfect individual solution - no matter if the storage is in the house or the workshop, in the basement or on the first floor.
The storage should be as big as possible and as small as needed. To consider the planning of the whole boiler set-up in a separate building, can be a good solution due to easier refilling possibilities. Have a look on our heating modules.
Storage Configurations
Auxiliary Building
Heating room and storage room in an auxiliary building. The refuelling of the storage room occurs directly from the chipper or from a tractor with front-loader.
District Energy Service
Independent building for heating room and storage room. Storage room is recessed on basement level for easy refuelling.
Basement Storage
Heating room and storage room in the basement of the residential building. The refuelling of the storage room occurs through Hargassner’s horizontal filling auger on the ceiling with an external shaft.
Multi-Floor Layout
The refuelling occurs through Hargassner’s vertical filling system including auger trough and wood chip ejector. The chips fall via an elongated drop shaft in the stoker auger
Wood Chip Agitation Systems
Due to the very low driving power and the highly efficient and robust spur gear, the Eco-RA agitator is very energy-efficient and reduces the customer's energy costs. Saving up to 67 % may be reached compared to conventional agitation systems. This impressive gear box with an efficiency of over 90% has replaced the traditional worm gear. The modular design ensures easy handling of the auger, trough and removable covers.Depending on the agitation system, the maintenance is highly cost-effective or even free for our customers.
You can choose between a 3-blade system and a 4-blade system. The auger with the new conveying shaft is suitable for wood chips of type G50 and ensures that no material gets stuck. All agitator systems by Hargassner are highly efficient and have low friction loss.
